CURRICULUM FOR SENIOR SECONDARY (XI AND XII)
Senior secondary level offers three main streams: Science, Commerce, and Humanities, with subject options introduced to provide students with a broader range of learning opportunities.
Apart from the traditional stream subjects we have introduced the following subjects:
- FMM (Financial Marketing and Management): In today’s world, financial skills are just as crucial as technological skills. This course provides students with a solid understanding of the basics of Management and Financial Marketing, along with an exploration of career opportunities in this growing field.
- Web Applications: This course offers a structured learning path designed to enhance students' employability and vocational skills. It covers essential topics like Multimedia Authoring, Digital Content Creation, Web Scripting, and Work Integrated Learning, all aimed at preparing students for the digital workforce.
- Psychology: Psychology focuses on understanding human behavior, experiences, and mental processes within various socio-cultural and historical contexts. This course introduces students to the foundational concepts, principles, and methods of psychology, encouraging them to develop an interest and deeper understanding of the subject.
- Geography: The Geography curriculum provides students with a thorough introduction to the fundamentals of physical geography and a detailed study of India’s physical environment.
- Applied Mathematics: This course focuses on using mathematical concepts and techniques to solve real-world problems. It emphasizes practical applications of mathematics in various fields such as business, economics, and science, helping students develop problem-solving skills and analytical thinking essential for their future careers.
For the purpose of fostering competences in learners, the curriculum encompassesseven major learning areas, which are: Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Sciences, Skill Subjects, General Studies and Health and Physical Education. These areas are broadly divided into electives and compulsory areas as detailed below:
